About our electric radiators
Quality throughout – from raw materials to the finished product
To ensure we deliver only the highest quality electric radiators, Heat Genie work with manufacturers who place priority on quality, both in raw materials and workmanship.
Fondital radiators are produced by an integrated group of companies covering the entire production cycle. This enables them to guarantee every stage of production and consistent quality control.
Electric radiators – produced from the highest quality aluminium
Raffmetal – the largest European producer of Secondary aluminium Alloys, part of the Fondital group of companies, ensures the highest level of precision and quality of the raw materials used to manufacture Fondital aluminium products.
Molten recycled aluminium is supplied directly to Fondital’s electric radiator production plant, where over 30 million electric radiator sections are produced each year.
Fondital meticulously monitors each stage of the production process, including the crucial electrophoretic coating process.
An electric radiator that has been designed to last
The radiator painting process has been designed to protect against corrosion from particles in the air. The radiators undergo two coating phases, the first being an anaphoretic coating, essential for protection. The second being powder coating, which increases the protection.
Every radiator undergoes a 14 step process:
- Fluorozirconate treatment
- Anaphorectic coating
- Powder coating
- Spray washing
- Spray Pre-degreasing
- Immersion degreasing
- Spray washing
Electric radiators that respond to changing environment temperatures
The whole range of Fondital electric radiators have been designed to obtain a quick and accurate response to changing room temperature needs in order to guarantee the highest level of comfort in any given moment and to reduce energy consumption.
Each radiator can be controlled and/or programmed independently, thus providing each room with the right amount of heat when needed.
Electric radiators can be powered by renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaic (solar) panels and wind power, and therefore they can contribute to energy saving and pollution reduction.

How is the heat created?
The radiators are made of 100% recycled aluminium, both the body and side panels. They do not need liquid or gaseous fuels, they do not produce any type of combustion or emission to the atmosphere. They use electricity as the most safe, clean, ecological and economic option in the market, and utilise 100% of the consumed energy.
The high performance of mineral thermal fluid used in the Fondital radiators allows its molecular structure to work on an average temperature of 45 °C ensuring a perfect thermal transmission. Fondital radiators don’t require maintenance or replacement and will retain their properties for life.
The internal fluid is heated by means of an electrical resistor which has a control thermostat and safety thermal fuse.
Why choose a Fondital radiator?
Fondital electric radiators stand out from traditional radiators due to their excellent performance.
It is their unrivalled efficiency that sets them apart from other options on the market, making them an excellent investment for the future.

Are electric radiators expensive to run?
When buying an electric radiator, it is of fundamental importance to verify the quality of its electronics. Efficient adjustment ensures maximum comfort and minimum energy consumption thus reducing electricity bills. Choosing a unit with little adjustment capacity is very counter-productive due to running costs. As time goes by it will waste energy and generate higher consumption when compared to high quality units.
Operating costs however depend on the cost of electric at a given time. Assuming electricity costs 17p/hour per KW then the operating cost will then be 17p/hour for the 1KW model. This may not strictly be the case, as the thermostat within the radiator will limit the electricity when the room has reached its optimum temperature, reducing the running cost/hour by up to 25%.
Considering the energy consumption of an average home, it is possible to estimate annual savings equivalent to hundreds of pounds thanks to an electric radiator with effective electronic adjustment.
For example, if adjustment efficiency is over 5, 10 or 15%, amounts of up to £50, £100 and £150 respectively can be saved per year.
